Buy Alcoa shares Rob Zombie is best known as a musician, formerly the lead singer for the band White Zombie. He's also well-known as a fan of B-movies, horror movies in particular, and over the last few years, Zombie has become a screenwriter and director himself. His first two movies were House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects, the latter of which enjoyed significant amount of success. (And the former movie was a cult classic in its own right.) At the time of this writing, The Haunted World of El Superbeasto is still in production, but that might have changed by the time you read this.

This site is a fan production and aims to include Rob Zombie's filmography, reviews of the motion pictures he has written and directed, and profiles of some of the actors and actresses Zombie works with regularly. I'll update the site as often as I can.

Music Videos

Rob Zombie was well-prepared to make movies by his work directing and producing the music videos for White Zombie. Most of his music videos demonstrate Zombie's interest in various films, including the use of surreal and spooky imagery. Sherri Moon Zombie appears in 15 of his music videos, and has gone on to star in all of Rob Zombie's movies. Rob Zombie has directed all of his music videos since "Thunder Kiss '65".

The Road to the Big Pictures

how to invest in Alcoa shares in Singapore Rob Zombie was approached about writing and directing the 3rd movie in The Crow series of movies, but his script was rejected by the studio. But in 2000, Rob Zombie's directing and writing career officially took flight with cult favorite House of 1000 Corpses. This was a movie that appealed to the grindhouse and drive-in movie fans, and was somewhat controversial for its graphic violence and gory imagery. Universal backed out after seeing the product, but Lion's Gate picked it up and released it. House of 1000 Corpses went on to make a modest $12 million at the box office. But since the budget was small, and DVD sales were brisk, it was a profitable movie, and it spawned a sequel.

The sequel, The Devil's Rejects, was released in July 2005, and was a significantly different film from Zombie's first effort. House of 1000 Corpses has more in common with The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and other 1970's horror films, while The Devil's Rejects is more of an action film with similarities to Natural Born Killers and the western revenge genre.

At the time I write this, Zombie is working on an animated film based on his comic book creation El Superbeasto. The movie is titled The Haunted World of El Superbeasto, and Rob Zombie is the writer and executive producer. It's being directed by Doug Lawrence, the voice of Plankton on SpongeBob Squarepants, and Sheri Moon Zombie is set to be the female lead.

Zombie has also recently announced that he will be directing a remake of John Carpenter's classic slasher film, Halloween. We have a new page about the Halloween remake cast available here. invest in Alcoa shares in Singapore
